Spotlight on Liverpool Cares
Liverpool Cares is a brand new community network in Liverpool of young professionals and older neighbours hanging out and helping one another in our rapidly changing city. They have a number of programmes that aim to bring people together to reduce isolation and loneliness in younger and older people. The programmes aim to bridge the gap across social generational, digital, cultural and attitudinal divides, and improve skills, confidence, and resilience of everyone involved, so it’s mutually beneficial for both audiences!
You can sign up as both an older neighbour or as a volunteer to take part in a range of FREE activities across the city, so if you are up for hanging out with some older Liverpudlian neighbours in fun and social settings, then get in touch with Liverpool Cares today!
They are holding their very FIRST volunteer induction on
Thursday 8th November, 6.30-8:00pm at HUS
and if that date doesn’t work for you, they’ll be holding another one on Monday 3rd December, same time and place!
At the induction you’ll meet the Liverpool Cares team, hear all about their plans, upcoming social clubs, share any of your ideas, and find out about all the ways you can get involved and tackle isolation and loneliness. And if that wasn’t enough, there’ll also be pizza!
